Creation of an interactive 3D digital catalogue of woodworking machinery

The objective is to produce an interactive 3D digital catalogue for downloading and viewing on mobile devices and desktop computers that lists the machinery used in the wood and furniture sector. The catalogue is aimed at students studying for professional certificates in installation and furnishing who need to familiarise themselves with the industrial machinery they are going to use during their workshop work experience placements.

This educational resource will be downloadable on mobile devices (smartphones and tablets) and will reproduce in 3D a total of 21 industrial machines, including animated and interactive videos on how they work. It will enable the parts of each machine and their corresponding safety measures to be identified. It will allow autonomous and personalised learning, complementing real practices and the educational use of mobile devices both in the classroom and in the workshops themselves. It will also include interactive activities to reinforce learning.

Piloting a carpentry and furniture employment launch pad

This project consists of piloting an employment launch pad for unemployed people with previous professional qualifications, to promote job placement in the carpentry and furniture installation sub-sector.

Through the general methodology used by launch pads, participants will benefit from the exchange of knowledge and collaboration, enhancing their active job search strategies. The participants will be unemployed people with an interest in entrepreneurship who have obtained qualifications or professional certificates in the wood, furniture and cork sector, as well as other fields of the Training Specialities Catalogue related to occupations in administrative management, accounting, legal and internationalisation, marketing, web design and industrial design who show interest in the carpentry and furniture installations subsector.

It will run for 6 months, for a group of 15 to 18 participants, with the assistance of a coordinator to provide advice and mentoring throughout the project and the CRNFP Paterna will provide a coworking space.

Design of an information management and promotion tool

Design of a web-based information management and promotion tool intended to provide knowledge and awareness regarding the wood, furniture and cork (WFC) sector, consisting of the design of a content manager for introducing and consulting data and news from organisations linked to the WFC sector, both in terms of training and the productive sector.

This tool is being managed by the CRNFP Paterna and will have an internal restricted access section and a public consultation area on the Internet, the latter linked to and published on the CRNFP website.

The restricted section will contain a contact database of organisations and companies including contacts and possibly associated documents.

The public section will show news of interest related to these organisations and companies (projects, activities, collaborations, events, R&D&I, good practices, experimentation and innovation, etc.) in the wood, furniture and cork sector.

Design of a "Digital teaching in vocational training" MOOC platform and course

This project aims to promote the use of innovative methodologies by teachers to encourage social and collaborative learning, as well as problem-based learning in vocational training. Another objective is to increase teachers' digital competence by reference to the digital competence framework for teachers.

The aim is to develop the digital content of a new training specialism: Digital Teaching in Vocational Training (60h), design a MOOC platform and pilot the running of the course.

A MOOC course platform will be designed to enable the registration, user management and delivery of e-learning courses for teachers at the national level, in hybrid learning format. Initially, the digital content of this specialism will be developed with the aim of training and certifying vocational training teachers to use ICT methodologically in a technical subject area in order to introduce innovative methodological strategies.

This course will be delivered in a hybrid format, consisting of 40 hours of e-learning (4 weeks) and 20 hours (1 week) of collaborative classroom-based training.
