Training for trainers

With the aim of responding to the need to develop the teaching staff who provide vocational training and keep them up to date, the National Reference Centre in Paterna programmes training activities that cover methodological, technological and technical fields.
The overall objective of these training activities is to enable vocational trainers to develop their technical capacity, improve their teaching skills and increase their professionalism.
The specific objectives are for trainers to be able to:
- Update their professional knowledge in specialised areas or competences that have an impact on their teaching work.
- Receive training, both theoretically and practically, in areas related to new technologies, new trends in training or involving some innovation, and in priority areas for promoting employment.
- Supplement their existing theoretical and practical training in new occupations or specialisations.
These training activities can be classified, based on the teaching staff to whom they are addressed, as follows:
- Training Trainers courses within Labora's own programme located at our centre.
- Courses under the National Plan for the Technical Improvement of Trainers.
- MOOC course "Digital Teaching of Vocational Training" for VT teachers.

ONLINE CONGRESS:

INNOVATION, NEW TECHNOLOGIES AND SUSTAINABILITY IN THE WOOD AND FURNITURE SECTOR
Itineraries:
I. Design
- Furniture design, innovation and inclusion.
- Construction and decoration with wood. A digital and environmental challenge.
II. Manufacturing
- Collaborative robots in the furniture sector.
- Digitalisation and automation in carpentry.
- The 5S Methodology. Quality, safety and maintenance in the wood sector.

Target audience: Trainers and teaching experts in vocational training for employment and the education system, at the national level, with priority given to professionals in active employment.
Duration: Each itinerary consists of 8 hours, spread over 2 afternoons.
Accreditation diploma: For teachers who participate in the videoconferences associated with one or both itineraries.
Registration: from 11 July to 3 October 2022. Free of charge.

MOOC COURSE ON DIGITAL TEACHING IN VOCATIONAL TRAINING
CURSO MOOC DOCENCIA DIGITAL DE LA FORMACIÓN PROFESIONAL
An online course, tutored, collaborative, free and open to VT teachers from all the autonomous communities.
Specially designed for VT teachers interested in updating their digital competence and familiarising themselves with new active methodologies, collaborative tools and a variety of digital teaching resources that can be applied in hybrid and e-learning environments.

1st course: From 28 November 2022 to 20 February 2023.
2nd course: From 13 March to 16 June 2023.
Target audience:
National level. Aimed at teachers who have taught courses in any of the vocational training initiatives for employment in the labour system and vocational training teachers in the education system.
Registration deadlines:
1st course: From 3 to 24 November 2022 or until 100 places are filled.
2nd course: From 13 February to 3 March 2023 or until 100 places are filled.
Objective:
At the end of the course, the trainer will have acquired new digital and teaching skills to plan, design and assess vocational training skills in hybrid or fully online learning environments, and will be familiar with active methodologies, as well as digital tools and resources for direct application in vocational training.
Course content:
Module 1 Digital transformation in vocational training.
Module 2 Designing digital training activities.
Module 3 Planning training activities in digital environments.
Module 4 Digital learning environments.
Module 5 Digital tools and resources.
Module 6 Online assessment of skills in vocational training.
Format:
This MOOC course has innovative vocational training tutors and is delivered in e-learning mode, 100 % online.
Methodology:
The course consists of 6 training modules, including videos and video tutorials, individual and group activities, forums, blogs, digital events, etc. following a social and collaborative learning methodology. Each participating teacher will present a portfolio of classroom activities.
Student requirements:
Fulfil the requirements to become a vocational teacher. in strict order of registration. Fifty per cent of the students may be from outside the Comunitat Valenciana, depending on the applications received.
Selection procedure:

Selected and reserved candidates will receive an email informing them that they have been shortlisted for the course. Confirmation of the place will be effective after the applicant has replied to the email stating that he/she fulfils the requirements and sending the corresponding supporting documentation:
DNI + certificate of employment + pay slip or copy of contract or company certificate, as proof that the applicant is a teacher of vocational training for employment or vocational training in the education system.
